My Story & Mission

I began my journey in care as many do on the frontline, supporting people with everyday needs and extraordinary stories.

From those early days as a care assistant, I quickly worked my way up, eventually becoming a registered manager overseeing services and guiding teams. I’ve seen what good care looks like  and what happens when systems fail. I’ve supported families during their most vulnerable moments, navigated rushed discharges, rewritten poor care plans, and stood in rooms where voices weren’t being heard.

That experience stayed with me. Not just the policies and procedures but the people. The families trying to speak up. The relatives left out of the loop. The quiet frustrations behind every “I just don’t know what to do next.”

Care Clarity was born from a deep belief that families deserve better support not just clinical facts or tick-box answers, but clear, human guidance rooted in real experience.

At Care Clarity, my mission is simple:
To help families feel seen, heard, and supported when navigating elderly care decisions.

I work independently with no ties to care homes, hospitals, or agencies so I can focus entirely on your loved one’s wellbeing. Whether you're reviewing a care plan, attending a hospital discharge meeting, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to offer practical support and emotional reassurance.

I believe that:

  • Every family deserves clear information  not confusing jargon

  • Every concern deserves a response  not dismissal

  • Every person in care deserves dignity, safety, and personalised support

Through letters, audits, meeting support, and one-to-one advocacy, Care Clarity is here to help you navigate the system with confidence and to never feel like you're doing it alone.

Have Questions? We’ve Got Answers

I know care decisions can feel overwhelming. Here are clear answers to help you feel more confident, prepared, and supported

What exactly does Care Clarity do?

Care Clarity helps families who are overwhelmed by care decisions. I offer expert tools, letter templates, and one-to-one support to help you speak up, understand your rights, and make informed choices for your loved one whether they’re at home, in hospital, or in a care setting

Is Care Clarity a care agency or service provider?
No I don’t provide carers or run care homes. Im an independent family advocacy and support service. That means I am here to support you, not the system  helping you navigate it with confidence.

Who is this service for?

Care Clarity is for family members, loved ones, or informal advocates trying to support someone in the care system. Whether you’re caring for a parent with dementia, managing a hospital discharge, or worried about care home standards Im here for you.

What kind of support do you offer?

I can help you:

  • Understand care plans, risk assessments, and discharge notes

  • Prepare for meetings with social workers or care providers

  • Write clear concerns or complaints

  • Know what questions to ask and what red flags to look out for

  • Get emotional reassurance when things feel overwhelming

Can I speak to someone one-to-one?

Yes. I offer one-to-one support by phone, video call, or email. Whether you need quick clarity or ongoing reassurance, I will tailor support around your situation.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. I treat your situation with absolute confidentiality. I don’t contact professionals or services on your behalf unless you explicitly ask me to. All notes, messages, and bookings are handled securely and respectfully.

Can you help in a care emergency?

While I don’t provide emergency care, I can offer urgent support if you’re facing:

  • Unsafe discharge

  • A safeguarding concern

  • Rapid placement decisions

  • A lack of communication from care providers

I will help you prepare questions, draft a calm response, or simply feel more in control of the next step.

Do you work with professionals too?

Yes. While my focus is on families, I also support care professionals, advocates, and consultants looking for training, second opinions, or insight into how families view the system.

I’m not sure what I need. Can I still reach out?

Absolutely. Many people don’t know what’s wrong only that something doesn’t feel right. You’re welcome to contact my with a short summary of what’s going on. I will guide you from there.

How much does it cost?

I offer low-cost guidance and support on a case-by-case basis. There’s three different membership packages but no hidden fees just straightforward help when you need it. Prices are always agreed before any session or document support is provided.
